Football clubs & nicknames go together like bread & butter; always have, always will. When you join a club you get a nickname, warranted or otherwise. The process is a right of passage, signalling to the recipient an acceptance of sorts within the team. Tradition dictates that your 'nicknamer' will initially try to add a 'y' to your surname or first name.
